- Local Governance & Policy Expansion: We supported local leadership to secure a landmark, unanimously passed three-year moratorium on new Class II injection wells in Marietta. Both the Marietta City Council and BEN are now seeking state-level support to expand this critical protection across Ohio.
- Advanced Legislation to Ban Toxic Waste: We achieved major progress by securing the introduction of bills (HB 439 and SB 329) aimed at prohibiting the spreading of toxic, radioactive oil and gas waste on Ohio roads.
- Championed Chemical Safety Protocols: We successfully intervened in OEPA proceedings, persuading the agency to continue utilizing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) during chemical incidents.
- Built Grassroots Defense Capacity: We launched the first annual Teresa Mills Site Fight School in Columbus, training impacted community members to build power and protect their own communities.We helped secure a three-year moratorium on injection wells in Washington County.
