You’re Invited! Free Film Screening: Ripples of Plastic

You’re invited to a free community screening of the powerful documentary Ripples of Plastic (50 min.), an eye-opening look into the hidden impacts of plastic pollution in the Great Lakes region—right here in our backyard. The film explores shocking insights into microplastics in Ohio’s waterways and their toll on health and ecosystems. Featuring expert voices like Dr. Sherri Mason, the film uncovers contamination pathways, health impacts, and the grassroots movements working toward solutions. Stay after the film for snacks and a meaningful community conversation on how to get involved locally in the fight against plastic pollution. We’re thrilled to have Athens ReThink Plastics and Moms Clean Air Force at some of the upcoming screenings—don’t miss the chance to connect! *These screenings were made possible with the support of People Over Petro Coalition.
